Personal Information:
I have been at Lipscomb Academy since 2009 and completely love what I do. My Lipscomb experience began when I left Alabama to become a freshman music education student at Lipscomb University. Through my studies there, I developed some lifelong friendships and fantastic colleagues in the University music faculty. As often happens, life occasionally derails our plans and my music degree was delayed for a few years due to a jaw injury (not a good thing for a trombone player!). In the meantime, I worked in the business world which not only provided some valuable life skills, but also helped me realized just how great my passion is for working with young people and music. Every day I appreciate the blessing God has given me in allowing me to work with students in this spiritual environment.
In September my wife and I will celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary. I met Stephanie at Bellevue church of Christ in the single's group. We now worship with the congregation at Harpeth Hills church of Christ. Stephanie is an unimaginable gift in my life and others. She is the controller at Woodmont Hills church of Christ.

3) Preparation- be ready with instrument, music, needed accessories (valve oil, cork grease…), and a PENCIL. Music preparation can also be included (knowing your part).
4) Following the rules- school rules (dress code…), class rules (no gum…), and God-given rules (be respectful…)
5) Attitude- be POSITIVE
Grades will be calculated using the following procedure:
50%- Daily Rehearsal Grade
40%- Performance Grade
10%- Tests (playing and written)
