Mrs. Sara Mitchell
Eighth Grade Pre-Algebra & Honors Algebra 1
My name is Sara Mitchell, and I have been blessed with the opportunity to teach eighth grade Honors Algebra 1 and Pre-Algebra at Lipscomb Academy. I love teaching math to students, and my goal is to provide my students with a positive, enthusiastic learning environment. I am originally from Muscle Shoals, Alabama. I graduated from Lipscomb University in 1991 with my Bachelor’s degree in Math Education, and I earned my Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from Lipscomb University in 1996. I have over ten years of teaching experience. While I have taught a wide range of math subjects, I have enjoyed teaching on the middle school level for the past few years. I also have many years of coaching experience and I look forward to assisting with the high school softball team again this year. My husband, Judd, and I have three active children. Our twin sons, Luke and Grant, are in high school here at Lipscomb Academy. Our daughter, Mia, attends the elementary school. I am passionate about the mission of Lipscomb Academy, and I take seriously its charge. I am "app"solutely excited about the new school year and the iNow initiative. It's going to be a great year!
