Kim Smith
Welcome to my class! My name is Mrs. Kim Smith, and I am a graduate of Lipscomb University. I have been teaching 3rd grade at Lipscomb Academy since the fall of 2006. Prior to coming to Lipscomb, I taught 2nd grade at Middle Tennessee Christian School, and I also taught preschool part-time for seven years. I love teaching and working with children, and I feel very blessed to work with a great teaching team at Lipscomb Academy.
My husband, Tim Smith, is also a graduate of Lipscomb Univ., and we have been married for 25 years. We have two precious boys, Clay and Parker. Clay attends Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, and Parker attends the Lipscomb Academy High School. Our oldest son, Clay, married a beautiful girl, named Aubrey, the summer of 2013, so we are now a proud family of five! Our family attends Woodson Chapel Church of Christ, where we have been members for almost twenty years.
I love being a mom, and I also enjoy staying busy with my church family. I have been on many mission trips across the country, and church camp is one of my favorite weeks of the year! I also love to spend time reading and cooking. Another one of my favorite things to do is spend time with my students at Lipscomb Academy!
