Profe Hawkins
Martha Ann Hawkins, "Profe," is a Lipscomb “veteran” of over 18 years. Having attended first through twelfth grade here, she decided to pursue her undergraduate study at Lipscomb University where she received a degree in Spanish in May 2005. She obtained a Masters degree in the Art of Learning and Teaching from Lipscomb University in May 2009.
Having studied Spanish all four years of high school, her love of the language was evident. While attending college, she obtained the opportunity to pursue her desire to study abroad in the Fall of 2002. Living in Vienna, Austria, for a semester allowed Martha Ann to visit many European cities and countries, including Spain. It was after this particular trip when she truly realized her great desire to learn and study more about the Spanish language. Since that time, she has participated in several mission trips to Honduras, as well as Mexico, where she has used her used and refined her translating skills.
She currently teaches Spanish at Lipscomb Academy High School where she serves as the Chair for the Foreign Language Department and coaches the JV cheerleading squad. She married Lipscomb University alumnus, Joel Hawkins, in October 2005. They have one little "Mustang" of their own, "Foster" Keith Hawkins! Foster is almost a year old and has filled their lives with SO much joy! Martha Ann loves Lipscomb and is honored to have been a part of this awesome family for so many years.

While this linguistic journey may pose several challenges for your child- know that I am here for your child to help make the journey a little smoother...and FUN! Arrrrrriba!!! I will update RenWeb, our on-line grading program, once a week- keeping both grades and lesson plans up to date. RenWeb is a great communicative resource for you and your child in order to know how he or she is doing in my class. Plus, if your child is absent, they will be able to access their homework assignments right from the comfort of your "casa!"
