Señorita Giles
Miranda Giles "Señorita" is a Lipscomb University Alumni, graduating in December 2010 with a degree in Spanish Education. She realized her passion for Spanish and for teaching children on her first international mission trip to Baja, Mexico her freshman year of college. It was after that mission trip that she decided to change her major to become a Spanish teacher to combine the opportunity to spread the joy of the Spanish language and her love of working with children. During her time at LU, she had the privilege to spend a semester studying abroad in San José, Costa Rica. During her time abroad, she traveled all over Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Cuba. She has also had the chance to participate in a number of mission trips to Mexico, Honduras, and Ghana, Africa.
She currently teaches Spanish 2 and Spanish 2 Honors Lipscomb Academy High School. In the past she has also taught Spanish 3 Honors, 4 Honors, and AP at LA. She is so thrilled and blessed that God has placed her in this wonderful family and community of Lipscomb Academy. Though she has not known your students for long, they have already found a special place in her heart and she cares deeply not only about their academic careers, but about their hearts and the plans that God has for them in his Kingdom.
